About CDMA

CDMA is a multiple access method used by various radio communication technologies to transmit data.

Multiple access method is based on multiplexing, which allows several data streams to share the same communication channel. This is to also say that multiplexing is provided by the physical layer.

CDMA is always used to refer to one specific family of technologies – IS-95 (often referred to cdmaOne) and CDMA2000.
