About GPS (Global Positioning System)
The Global Positioning System (GPS), is a satellite-based radio navigation system operated by the United States Air Force and pwned by designed by the United States government.
It is a worldwide navigation satellite framework that gives geolocation and time data to a GPS receiver close to the Earth or anyplace where there is an unhindered line of sight to at least four GPS satellites.
The GPS does not need the user to transmit any information, and it works autonomously of any telephonic or web reception, however these advances can improve the helpfulness of the GPS data.
Other countries have there own satellite positioning systems:
• European Union – Galileo (Global Navigation Satellite System)
• Russia – GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System)
• China – BeiDou Navigation Satellite System
• Japan – QZSS (Quasi-Zenith Satellite System)
